How to Download Public Videos Online Without an App
If you want to save a public video to your phone or computer, you can start in your browser instead of installing another app. VidSaver provides separate workflows for public Instagram videos, TikTok videos and Snapchat videos. Follow this guide to copy the right link, choose a supported tool and troubleshoot common problems.

Copy the public video link
Open the post in its original app or website. Use Share and Copy link. The video must be public and available to viewers without a login.

Start processing and review the formats returned for that particular video. Available resolution and audio options depend on what the source platform provides.

If a video will not download
Check that the post is public
Private posts, login-only content, deleted videos and some region- or age-restricted media are not available to the downloader. Open the original link normally first.
Copy the full link again
Use the platform's Share menu and choose Copy link. Paste the complete address into the matching VidSaver tool. If the source platform is temporarily limiting requests, waiting before retrying may help.
Understand video quality options
A downloader can list only the formats it can retrieve from the source. HD, audio-only or other choices may not be available for every post, and a tool cannot guarantee a resolution that the original source does not provide.
