Privacy Policy

VidSaver is built to need as little of your data as possible. This page explains exactly what happens to the information involved in a download.

Last updated: January 2026

What we process

To prepare a download we process the video URL you paste and the quality you select. The link is sent to our download server, used to fetch the media, and then discarded.

We do not require an account, and we never ask for your name, email or payment details to use the downloader.

Temporary files

The prepared video file is stored on the server only long enough for your browser to download it. Files are deleted automatically after a short expiry window, and nothing you download is kept permanently or shared with anyone.

Local storage

Your download history and theme preference are stored in your own browser's local storage. That data never leaves your device, and you can erase it at any time with the "Clear history" button in the history panel or by clearing your browser data.

Cookies and advertising

VidSaver itself does not set tracking cookies. If advertising is enabled on this deployment, our advertising partner may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure and serve ads, governed by that partner's own privacy policy. You can control this through your browser settings or an ad blocker; the downloader keeps working either way.

Server logs

Our download server keeps short-lived operational logs (timestamps, request outcome, error details) to diagnose failures and prevent abuse. These logs are not used to build profiles of users.

Your choices

Because we hold no account data, there is nothing on our side to export or delete. To remove everything VidSaver has placed on your device, clear your browser's local storage for this site.
